Tacos El Torito, nestled in the heart of Dodge City, Kansas, stands out as a beacon of authentic Mexican flavor. From the moment you pull up to their convenient location at 105 N 2nd Ave, you are met with service that feels personal and efficient—where staff come right to your vehicle to take orders and deliver piping hot food. This unique approach adds a welcoming touch to an already vibrant dining experience.
Their menu boasts generous portions that keep locals coming back for more. Whether it’s the hearty breakfast burrito, praised for its size and flavor, or the famed al pastor tacos selling for just a dollar apiece, every dish sings with freshness and authenticity. The rice and beans served alongside truly complement the main courses, rounding out each meal with classic Mexican staples done right.
What impresses me most about Tacos El Torito is the balance they strike between quality, price, and accessibility. It’s rare to find late-night eateries that maintain both temperature and taste, yet here, the food arrives hot and fresh, even during the late hours. The steak burrito, packed with rice, beans, cheese, and sour cream, offers a satisfying, robust flavor profile without breaking the bank.
Though indoor seating is limited, Tacos El Torito cleverly offsets this with excellent to-go service and the option to enjoy your meal right in your vehicle—perfect for those craving a quick, delicious fix. It's clear that this place has earned a loyal following not only for its authentic cuisine but also for its thoughtful customer service and vibrant atmosphere. In a city where great tacos are unexpected, Tacos El Torito proves that authentic Mexican street food can thrive anywhere.

“ This place is great, I wouldn't expect good tacos here in Kansas like this, but boy was I wrong, rice and beans super good and pastor tacos. You pull up and they come to you take your order bring the food the reason I gave 5 for the atmosphere. There is a restaurant you can go in to next door ”
“ With all the taco trucks to choose from this is one of my favs, al pastor tacos are one dollar each. For as good as they are I feel like I’m robbing them. There is always a line though, but that’s a good thing right? ”
